About this trip

For students studying the impact of National Socialism on the German people there is no better venue than Hitler’s capital, Berlin. Period architecture is still visible, from the former Air Ministry on Wilhelmstrasse to the impressive 1936 Olympic stadium, and with this backdrop your expert guide will bring alive the stories of those who lived under this cruel and oppressive regime.

At the brilliant Topography of Terror museum your students will learn how the Nazis controlled their own people through fear and terror, whilst the centerpiece of any tour of Berlin will be a half-day visit to the former Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen, where your guide will explore the reality of living under Nazi rule.

Why choose Anglia for Guided History Trips?

At Anglia we care about our customers, our staff, the places we visit, the stories we tell and the organisations we work with. These key principles define who we are and what we do. We believe they are also the reason why Anglia is the market leader in fully-guided history trips for UK schools. We work with you to design a bespoke tour which meets the specific needs of your school and which supports what you are teaching in class. We start by asking what you want your students to see and what you want them to experience then build the tour around these requirements. A tour which, as the testimonials on our website show, your students will find thought-provoking, engaging and enjoyable.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our two outstanding history tour guides in Berlin who played an integral role in the success of our educational trip. Their professionalism, deep historical knowledge and exceptional flexibility made them invaluable partners throughout the tour. They consistently demonstrated a genuine willingness to listen - not only to my suggestions as trip lead but also to the feedback from all the school staff – and readily adapted to meet the evolving needs of our students as the day went on.
