One of Madrid's leading museums, San Fernando Royal Academy takes visitors on a tour through European and Spanish history between the 15th and 20th centuries. Of special interest is the work of Spanish Romantic master Francisco Goya, who was the institution’s painting director.
Located around an hour outside Madrid and often combined with a visit to historic Toledo, El Escorial is a town home to the Monastery San Lorenzo el Real built during the reign of King Philip II. The monastery of El Escorial is the Pantheon of the Spanish Kings as well as Palace, Monastery and Church and has a fantastic range of art and the magnificent room containing the gold sarcophagi of the Spanish Kings.
A sightseeing tour of Madrid, either on foot or by private coach and guided by an experienced tour professional, will offer your group the opportunity to see the city's main attractions and to gain a useful insight into the history and culture of the city.
