The streets of Berlin provide a wealth of inspiration where photographers can capture a city constantly regenerating. From the old stately buildings in the west to the new urban architecture in the East, the wealth of street art to the buzzing new districts they can't fail to find something different where ever they go.
The Deutsche Kinemathek is Berlin's iconic Film Museum, featuring a permanent exhibition of German film history. This includes the stories of the many artists who were exiled to Hollywood during the National Socialist era. Their diverse collection of exhibits also include posters, photos, costumes, architectural sketches and props, as well as a particular focus on actress Marlene Dietrich, compiled from an extensive private collection.
Guided tours in English are available to student groups if required. There is a museum, memorial hall and cinema where a film about the history of the camp is shown hourly. A poignant and moving reminder of the evils of the Nazi regime, a visit to Sachsenhausen will resonate in the minds of your student group for many years to come.
Located in Potsdamer Platz this is home to the Imax Cinema where you can catch a film in German or English, along with a great selection of cafes and shops. Great for a night out, especially if seeing a film on the giant screen.
This is the main shopping street in Berlin and home to one of Europe’s largest department stores, KaDeWe, with all that a major store offers.
