Next Generation Travel was founded in October 2010 and by November 2010 had acquired WST. This was followed by the acquisition of FHT in August 2013. In January 2017 NGT acquired Anglia Tours. Most recently, in October 2018, NGT acquired Study Experiences, Sport Experiences and Remembrance Travel for Schools and Youth Groups. Our highly experienced team has gone from strength to strength. Passenger numbers have grown from less than 5,000 in 2010 with a projected number for 2018/19 of 70,000 passengers.

As a fairly new company WST took a brave step in deciding to be assessed against the Investors in People (IIP) standard and Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation. These standards challenge organisations to show how effectively they work with their staff and customers. It also aims to help organisations move forward, identifying areas where further improvement can be made.
The assessor found that WST has developed an effective culture, based on clearly stated core values. This in turn has helped all staff work together to develop and deliver services that meet and exceed their customers’ expectations. The company shows that it has engaged its staff effectively, ensuring that they are well-motivated and effective. The degree to which this has been achieved is impressive, especially considering how young the company is. This has provided a solid foundation for the company and a good platform for continued growth and development.
From all evidence collected the specialist was left in no doubt that the requirements of the standard are being met at FHT Travel. There were many areas of strength identified. At a strategic level there is a clear mission and vision for the company and this is communicated well to all staff; this gives a real sense of trust and confidence about the future.
